NATURE OF SCOPE
Tanzania Authority (TPA) was established under the Ports Act No. 17 of 2004. The Authority is vested with the obligation and responsibility of developing managing and promoting Maritime Sector in Tanzania mainland
The major role of TPA is to enhance the advantage of the geographical position of Tanzania’s maritime resources
In light of the above, TPA invites applications from suitably qualified and competent applications to fill the following vacant posts
POST; SENIOR MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS OFFICER (WORK SYSTEMS) – SALARY
GRADE TPGS 7, 1 POST – (RE-ADVERTISED)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To carry out specialist studies on work methods and procedures aimed at improving productivity and efficiency
2. To design new forms which are used in the execution of the Authority’s business processes and review the existing once where necessary
3. To maintain a data base of furniture and equipment and their standards
4. To update TPA’s Internal telephone directory whenever need arises/occurs, and
5. To perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications and Experience
A. Professional Qualifications
Certificate/Diploma of Management Services
B. Academic/ basic qualification
• First degree in Business/Public Administration or equivalent
• Computer Literate
C. Working experience
At least three years in related field

1. To prepare quality system audit programs and execute implementation
2. To conduct surprise audit to ensure that the system is implemented along ISO guidelines all the time
3. To compile audit/surprise audit reports to facilitate management reviews and the subsequent continual improvement initiatives and
4. To perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications and Experience
Professional Qualification
Certificate of competency on the ISO 9000:2000 series of standards
Academic/basic qualification
i. First degree in Business/public Administration/Total Quality Management or equivalent
ii. Computer Literate
Working experience
At least three years in related field

POST; SENIOR PHARMACIST - SALARY GRADE TPGS 7, 1 POST
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To issue medical services to all Port Health Clinics and Centres
2. To undertake drug management for TPA clinics and Health centres
3. To prepare monthly return of supplies in stock
4. To prepare periodic reports on medical stocks
5. To participate in the preparation of budget for the medical unit and

Qualifications and Experience

• Registered with relevant Pharmaceutical Board
Academic/basic qualification
i. First degree in Pharmacy

POST; SECURITY OFFICER (CCTV) - SALARY GRADE TPGS 6, 1 POST
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To ensure effective focus on all areas covered by CCTV Cameras
2. To ensure that all the Machineries related to the system are properly serviced and repaired
3. To ensure that CCTV system, camera and related facilities are kept in good working condition
4. To supervise all duties/activities under his/her jurisdiction in an orderly manner, and

The National Board of Accountants and Audits (NBAA) was established by the Accountant and Auditors (Registration) Act No. 33 of 1972 as amended by Act No. of 1995. It is a regulatory body for the accountancy profession in Tanzania
By authority of the Act as provided under section 4, the Board is mandated to carry out Registration, Regulation and Development of and standards setting for, the Accountancy profession in Tanzania. The Board invites qualified Tanzanians to fill the following vacancy
INFORMATION SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR GRADE II – (ONE POST)
Reporting Relationship; Reports to Head of Unit
Job Purpose;
To provide effective and efficient IT services
Duties and Responsibilities
i. To attend issues pertaining to labeling (e.g putting logos), scripting, security, disk space allocation, printing and scanning documents
ii. To assist and advice systems users in systems analysis, design, development, selection, acquisition and Installation of computer hardware and software
iii. To enforce safety measures and conduct induction job training as the case may be to safeguard computer facilities and data
iv. To maintain and ensure proper, effective and efficient utilization of the existing information systems (IS) services, resources and programmes/ packages
v. To install, configure, test and analyze test results and manage all programs, network, server and other equipment
vi. To coordinate installation, maintenance, availability and reliability of internet services
vii. To ensure that an effective disaster recovery system with suitable and external backups is in place
viii. To attend front line network problems (troubleshooting) , carry out diagnosis on the network, hardware and software
ix. To participate in or supervise, implementation of information systems projects as may be delegated
x. To determine computer software or hardware needs, attend all routine repairs and maintenance of the existing information systems and allied accessories and install and/or coordinate installation of LAN and WAN and maintain the same
xi. To perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the immediate supervisor
Direct Entry Qualifications
Holder of Advanced Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science obtained from a recognized higher learning institution and must be proficient in computer applications with at least two years working experience in IT industry in any reputable organization
REMUNERATION FOR THE POST; As per NBAA Salary Scale 10.1
