POSITION TITLE:
Human Resources Manager- Reporting to Managing Director.
SUMMARY:
The Human Resource Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the Human Resource Functions by-overseeing department functions and managing employees.

MAIN OBJECTIVES:
To provide a high quality service to employees and to contribute to the long term development of the HR functions by ensuring a consistently high level of customer care is provided to all employees and people who use the HR Services.
To provide an effective and efficient output of work to meet the demands made of the role, and to assist in all aspects of the work undertaken by the Human Resources Department.
To promote the Company's core values and fulfill the aims and objectives of the Service.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for efficient and effective management of Human Resources and administration matters.
To plan, organize and control all activities of the department. To -develop department goals, objectives and systems.
To implement and annually update compensation program; rewrite job descriptions as necessary; analyze compensation scheme; monitor the performance evaluation program and its revises as necessary.
To develop, recommend and implement personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain Staff handbook on policies and procedures.
Responsible for recruitment and selection of Human Resources required by the company in right quantity, right quality and at the right time. .
Ensuring that standards, plans and procedures in respect of recruitment, salaries, training and promotions are observed.
Ensuring that changes in personnel policies introduced by the management are implemented, monitored and evaluated effectively.
Advising the management on statutory issues.
To establish and maintain department records and reports. Participate in administrative staff meetings and other meetings whenever needed to. Maintain company organization charts and employee directory.
To evaluate reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. To recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed

To ensure that Company policies and procedures comply with national laws and regulations, and are adhered to by staff.
To draw up manpower plan training and carrier development programmes.
To perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned by your superior or Management team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY: . .
To provide guidance and direction td compensation and benefits specialists and to develop strategic compensation plans, align performance management systems with compensation structure and monitor negotiations for group health care benefits.
To conduct training needs assessment, performance evaluating after training and orientation. (new hire orientation, leadership training and professional development seminars and workshops).
To design an effective employee relations strategy for investigating and resolving workplace issues in order to preserve the employer-employee relationship.
To develop strategic solutions to meet workforce demands and labor force trends and oversee the recruitment and selection processes, recruiting 'and retaining talented employees.

QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:,
At least a Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management! Public Administration! Business Administration from a recognized and reputable University. A Master Degree in Human Resources Management/ Public
Administration! Business Administration will be an added advantage.
Not less than Five (5) years experience in practicing Human Resources Management, Three (3) years being in a senior position with a reputable Organization.
A strong' understanding/use of Human Resources Management System (HRMS) or Human Resources Information System (HRIS) functions and processes. Experience with database tools will be necessary, as well as a thorough knowledge of computer application packages such as MS Excel, Work and PowerPoint.
Proven ability to handle confidential information and work under pressure and in a changing work environment
Excellent communication and. interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to successful promote a work environment that values diversity and supports respectful interactions
Working knowledge of Tanzania labor laws, employment practices and industrial relations.
Ability to take initiative and follow through on tasks with minimal supervision. Attention to details, multi- tasking and organizational skills a must.
REMUNERATION: The above position carries attractive remuneration as per The Guardian Limited salary structure and incentive package.
